Quickly Get Reliable Sources, Social Networks, and News From Wikipedia With MegaGladys

There’s so much news going on these days that it’s hard to keep up, so I decided I needed something to give me a quick backgrounder on a person/place/thing, provide me with links to credible information, and offer pointers to possible news events in the last couple of years. My own one-click Gladys Kravitz to give me the whole lowdown so I don’t have to do a bunch of searches.

So I made MegaGladys. MegaGladys uses Wikidata to pull up to 22 data points about a Wikipedia article’s subject and Gossip Machine to find recent dates when the subject of the article might have been in the news.

I’m working on a couple of bugs but it should mostly do right. Sometimes the data doesn’t clear between searches. If that happens just reload the page.
