WCC takes a Wikipedia category and lists the articles in the category by creation date. Each page listing is accompanied by Google and Google News links to search for that page topic in a range of 14 days before to 14 days after the date the page was created in Wikipedia. A page created on March 16, 2010, for example, would have a Google search spanning March 2 to March 30, 2010. This search generally provides a little more context to why the page was created, and can often provide more information than later stories which presuppose earlier coverage and consumption of coverage.
WCC is very tolerant of how to specify the category. Try these examples:
Current Event Related: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack
Technology: Category:Python (programming language)
Things: Conspiracy_theories_in_the_United_States
Publications: Category:Books_about_Chicago
Pages created very early in Wikipedia’s history (early 2000s) tend to not have much relationship with a Google or Google News search. Once you start getting to ~2010 it gets better.
