The Wikipedia Gender Scanner lets you specify a category and get the genders of the first 50 people in that category.
Enter a category in the form below. Please note that the category must be in Wikipedia’s format, like this: Category:English_explorers. You’ll find that category format as part of a Wikipedia URL:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:English_explorers. If you can’t think of any categories, here are some ideas: Category:French_rock_singers, Category:Fictional_physicists, or Category:15th-century_Spanish_painters .
